The St.Finbarr’s A.C. Cork City 10k will take place on the Lee Road – Carrigrohane Road circuit. 

The Race HQ will be Kingsley Hotel, Carrigrohane Road.

📢 💥 New 10k Road Race in Cork City 💥 St. Finbarr’s A.C. is delighted to announce a new 10k road race in Cork City this August 2024.For many years the race staged was 10 mile in distance, starting and finishing at the Marina, Cork City. This year due to maintenance works in the area of the Marina we have decided to host a 10k race in a new location.New Location: Lee Road – Carrigrohane Road circuit, Cork City.Distance: 10kmThe race, an Athletics Ireland registered event will welcome all to partake, from fun and social to elite runners.The St. Finbarr’s A.C. Yes, pack gear the night before. Get to race with time to spare and warmup feeling as relaxed as possible!

Q. What will you eat the morning before the race?

Frosted Flakes, Banana or Bagel & Cappuccino or two!

Q. Any tips for others entering a 10 mile race for the first time?

Yes! You’ll enjoy it more if you get the training right. Give yourself plenty of time, so you are not cramming unnecessarily.

Remember too, that you will find an extra mile or two on the day, with adrenaline & the race day athmosphere allowing you to bridge any small gap between what you have done in training and what is required on the big day.
